Freestyle (Disco) is a fast paced, rhythmical dance form incorporating energetic routines full of kicks, leaps and turns to modern music. Originating in  the 1970's it continues to develop encompassing a wide musical spectrum.

Modern Jazz is the technical basis for modern dance with a focus on turns, leaps, spins, body strength and flexibility. Supported by a foundation in ballet technique, the aim is to maximise musicality through a variety of music.

Musical Theatre encompasses dancing, singing and acting for the musical stage. With emphasis on character, speech and vocal technique, pupils work on musical performances as well as musical theatre and drama exams.

Our diverse semi-professional dance troupe train for the musical stage and commercial dance. The troupe performs around the county and at events, displays and functions.

Street dance, derived from hip hop culture, is a grounded expressive dance form based on rhytmical interpretation, isolation and strength. In class, pupils work on both improvisation and impressive routines.

Tap dancing is the ultimate discipline for the dancing musician. Based on creating rhythms through fast leg and ankle work, but with an effortless finish, tap dance belongs to the classical musical stage and to the realm of contemporary percussive instruments.

Musical Theatre for younger pupils. Our 4-7 years learn how to use their voices, develop fun characters and coordinate movement to tell musical stories. Pupils work on exams in musical theatre and drama.

The ultimate aim for the training ballerina, it relies on strength in the feet and ankles and solid ballet technique to support the body. An extremely demanding area of ballet, not suitable for every dancer.
